Collage
These collages are made on 6 x 4 inch card from torn up magazines and other images. They are made quickly, usually in a few hours. I then make a larger painting from the collage or photocopy it to A3 size. Photocopying may produce interference patterns which suggest further possibilities of changes that can be made in transferring to another medium as is also the case in making a painting. I then transfer the elements that I require to a much larger tapestry canvas and work the images again. I very much enjoy the change in pace involved in working in different media. A tapestry may take more than a year to make in contrast to an evening's work on the original collage. My current project is a series of faces.
My collages are not for sale. However, Faces 1, 2, 3, 4 & 6 are available as a postcard pack. Price (including P&P) within the UK of £3.
